Additionally, Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor comes with a removable sunshade that doubles as a protective cover for the monitor during transport or when not in use.
The machined metal design of Blackmagic Design PYXIS Monitor EVF Kit is exceptionally durable and suitable for professional use. It perfectly complements the industrial design of Blackmagic PYXIS and Blackmagic URSA Cine cameras. The monitor features a bright tally light that is visible from a distance while recording. Additionally, it includes three customizable buttons for efficient access to features like zebra, focus assist, false color, and more. These buttons are easily located by touch, even when using the monitor from the front. The convenient single USB-C cable connection for the Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor allows for quick and simple setup, providing video, power, and camera control all with one cable. For added security, the USB cable has locking screws on both ends to securely attach the monitor to the camera. With the HDR touchscreen, customers can seamlessly control all camera features, essentially making the monitor an extension of the camera itself. The Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor EVF Kit offers a variety of mounting options for convenient placement of the monitor. It is compatible with any 1/4" mounts and supports industry-standard 1/4" mount locating pins. This makes it compatible with Blackmagic PYXIS cameras, even when equipped with rails, cages, and other accessories. Additionally, the monitor can be mounted off-camera using a single USB cable, allowing for full monitoring and camera control even when the camera is out of reach. For precision mounting, the PYXIS Monitor EVF Kit is also available with specially designed mounts for Blackmagic PYXIS and URSA Cine cameras. The high-end design of the mount positions the monitor as close to the camera as possible, and its two-part dovetail design allows for quick attachment and removal from the camera. With this mount, users can easily adjust the monitor's position without the need for any tools. It even allows for rotation of the monitor up to 180º and use it as a presenter monitor.
When paired with URSA Cine, the Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor transforms into an ideal large screen viewfinder. The USB-C connection allows for easy video, power, and camera control via a single cable, just like the Blackmagic PYXIS. The mounting hardware is also compatible with URSA Cine and can be attached to the Blackmagic URSA Cine Handle for convenience, or used as a large EVF with the same hardware as the URSA Cine.
